(Picture courtesy of RAW Communications). Converse is conducting its CONS Project from 10am to 10pm at WakaLab, Media Prima Digital, located at Jalan Riong Bangsar this coming Saturday, 20 Sept 2014. The global community project, an initiative by Converse, is designed to inspire the next generation through music, art, style and sport. Converse had also hosted a series of free creative workshop in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto and Boston, collaborating with experts in the world of skate, art and music. Cons Project Kuala Lumpur offers invaluable interactive workshops for youth ranging from skateboarding, basic music skills, video production, graffiti art and more. Among the key opinion leaders involved are veteran skateboarder Joe Ipoh, skate videographer Mariss Khan, renowned punk rock band Subculture, Kudut (Azender’s Drummer), District (part of Malaysian graffiti collective) as well as Converse CONS sponsored skaters. There will also be a skateboarding jam and games session during the first half of the event, along with mini gig performances by Azure For Janne, Instake, Maddthelin, I-Revival and Nervedeless, the winners of Converse Get Loud from Converse Malaysia’s 2013 Music Tour and Online Campaign. Snowskin Mooncakes

During the recent Mooncake Festival, I had a chance to see snowskin mooncakes being made. These mooncakes do not need to be baked, and are delicious! The process is simple. Firstly, the ingredients are gathered. The crust is made of frozen glutinous rice. Flavors can be added if needed. Red bean paste, mung bean paste, jam, lotus paste, coffee and cheese can be used for the filling. You would also need a handheld stamp to make the mooncakes look pretty. Some of the stamps available are shown below. Take a small ball of crust and flatten it out. Put a small ball of filling in the middle, and cover it up with crust. Then, choose a stamp and press down hard on the mooncake ball. And here’s the finished product! The mooncakes are scrumptious when served...
