Last Friday, Malaysia’s very first fashion & technology centric event was conducted at Pop by Jaya One. The event was hosted by VLT, and officially endorsed by 3 different governmental bodies (Multimedia Development Corporation, Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre, and MyCreative Ventures). The event started up with a fashion show featuring Zalia, by Zalora. Next came a panel discussion. The discussion panellists included Johan Ishak, the CEO of MyCreative Ventures, Giulio Xiloyannis, the Managing Director of Zalora Malaysia and Tang Siew Wai, the Country Manager of Reebonz Lifestyle Sdn. Bhd. The event also featured startup showcases, featuring Metail, an application that allows you to try clothes online, Travelshopa, an online website that includes information on shopping havens around the world, Ninja Van, a logistic company that specializes in online shopping and WaryBee, a fashionable and wearable technology for personal safety.
